Comments by previous guests at Casa La Sierrecilla "We had a really lovely holiday, thanks. The villa was superb, very spacious and well equipped, also very tastefully decorated and furnished. The pool, garden and patio areas were lovely and we spent most of our time outside. The children absolutely loved the pool, swing and playroom (my daughter was over the moon that she could watch all her favourite Disney videos!). Most days we stayed at the villa because it was so nice! I can't imagine a better place to stay for a large group with young children. Thanks for dealing with our booking so efficiently. " Dr H.J., Warrington "We had a great week in your lovely villa – it really was perfect for our family, particularly the separate lounge for the children! I was very impressed with the way the kitchen was equipped and the beds were excellent – something that is not always the case in rented villas! Thanks once again and we would certainly recommend your villa to anyone." Mrs M. McK., Wimborne "Let me say, first of all, that we loved it. It is very well appointed and its generous space and good grounds allow each guest to find their own favourite places to relax and unwind. The pool area is particularly well designed and is excellent for both adults and children. It was wonderful to see both Jack and Iona in the water each day. The website does not reflect the scale of the house and its grounds." Mr J.H., Scotland "We had a great time in Spain and greatly appreciate all of your help. Your villa was fabulous, surpassed our expectations... Dr J.C. H., Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A "We did have a wonderful stay and found the house to be very comfortable. The rooms were all very spacious and we were impressed with the number of different areas to gather. We loved having meals outside on the patio, but also made use of the dining room. It was nice being able to get all nine of us around one table. In our travels, we always worry if the kitchen will actually be usable, but we were very impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked. " Mr M.K., Portland, Oregon, U.S.A "Wonderful setting, superb accommodation and friendly locals." Mr L.D., U.K "We had a lovely holiday and enjoyed the villa very much especially the pool! The location was wonderful, it was nice to feel we were in the real Spain rather than being surrounded by British holiday makers and the weather was wonderful. " Dr S. L.H., Manchester "My family were all together again at the weekend and we were talking about our holiday in Casa La Sierrecilla and we all said we would love to go back! The villa was amazing, it was so spacious, even though we filled it to capacity there was still plenty of room for 4 families to have their own space. All the rooms were beautifully decorated and all the items you could possibly need to cook any meal were available in the kitchen. The outside was also fabulous, the pool terrace was hard to leave each day, even to go and see the numerous sights that are a must! I must also mention the tapas bar in Humilladero (Bar Ramon), the owners were so welcoming and the tapas they serve are just out of this world......... within "staggering" distance from the villa it made a great place to chill. I must admit I am running out of words to describe everything I am so enthusiastic, but it really was brilliant. You own a delightful property!" Mrs S. E., Owslebury, Hampshire. "Our first Christmas and New Year in the sun. We were impressed by all the facilities, the space and the ease which three families were able to live under the same roof and still have plenty of space. A warm, welcoming, comfortable villa. Lots of nice touches to make you feel at home (the Christmas tree and the turkey). We are planning to return!" Mrs A. R., Oakham "Thank you so much for the rental of your house; it was a beautiful holiday, we all enjoyed it and the kids had a great time. There was plenty of room and privacy for us all. We did a lot of touring around and especially enjoyed Antequera and Ronda. The house was everything we expected it to be and more, extremely well appointed and cared for. Truly a lovely holiday, thanks again. Mrs M.V., Tokyo, Japan "An absolute gem! The kitchens are extremely well equipped - washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, microwave etc. We particularly liked the 'plancha' grill in the back kitchen, wonderful for cooking steaks, burgers, sea food etc. The pool area is fabulous with plenty of cushioned sun loungers for relaxing and is very safe for children, as it is fenced and can be closed off for safety. The pool bar is super as it has a little fridge and sink - the children loved to play bartenders and waitresses and they particularly liked the tips! The pool itself is lovely and has a nice shallow end for the kids. The terraced areas around the back of the house are cleverly shaded and so there is always a cool place to relax in. There is a large table and lots of chairs so we found ourselves eating here all the time. The smaller sitting room at the front of the house (nice and cool during the day) is a haven for the kids. Lots of children's videos to suit all ages and tastes, toys and books were there for them to enjoy. We found this a great way to get the children out of the very hot sun without too much complaining! The villa really is very child friendly. Bedrooms are all lovely - only problem is - which one do you choose? Humilladero is a lovely sleepy little Spanish village within walking distance and the locals are extremely friendly and helpful. There is a little swing park for the kids to enjoy just as you enter the town. A point to note though is that little or no English is spoken so if you can't speak Spanish do remember to carry a phrase book with you. Bar Ramon is a great place to eat in or get a takeaway from. The staff could not have been more friendly and the food is super (and extremely cheap). Our flight was delayed and as a result we did not arrive at the restaurant until midnight. No problem - table set for 8 and food arrived 15 minutes later and served with a smile - now that's what I call a great place to eat! There are also a couple of swings at the back of the restaurant to keep the kids amused. They do fantastic tapas - don't miss out! The tapas menu is up on the wall inside the bar and is in Spanish. As very little English is spoken just be adventurous and try them all. At 30 cents a go it's worth it. El Tintero - for all seafood lovers out there, an absolute MUST is El Tintero on the outskirts of Malaga. The food is out of this world, the atmosphere electric, right on the beach with a play area beside it for the children. I cannot recommend this place highly enough - it is fabulous and also very inexpensive. (For those of you who don't like sea food they do a mean roast chicken.) All in all our holiday in Casa La Sierrecilla was wonderful and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants first class accommodation in a very scenic, very Spanish part of Spain. Forget tourists - Remember Phrase Book! Mrs H. O'K., Maynooth, Co. Kildare
