Our child-friendly villa in Andalucia
We bought Casa La Sierrecilla in 2001, after a seemingly endless search in Andalucia, and since then we have dedicated ourselves to creating a beautiful Andalucian home that is truly ‘child-friendly’. This is an over-used term these days, but for us it means safe, welcoming and convenient for children and their parents. With four children of our own we know what really matters to parents when choosing a holiday villa!
Our playroom is the perfect place for children to wind down after a busy morning in the pool. We have plenty of toys for a variety of ages, children’s books and an enormous collection of DVDs and videos!
For parents of young children their children’s safety is paramount, and for this reason our pool area is fenced and gated. The pool is also heated to a temperature which allows for more comfortable swimming, while still being refreshing in the summer!
Casa La Sierrecilla stands in a fully enclosed garden of around an acre in size, with lawns and an orchard of fruit and nut trees, and which provides plenty of space for children to run around and explore. There is a Little Tikes playhouse for younger children.
Inside the villa we provide 2 wooden cots and one travel cot (cot linen is provided), 2 high chairs and specially–made stairgates. Optional baby equipment includes a baby bath, lightweight stroller, electric bottle warmer, toddler bed guard, Avent microwave steriliser and potties!
Andalucia is the perfect destination for families with children. Most Andalucian food is very popular with children, particularly the fried fish! The reasonable prices in the countryside (far lower than on the coast!) mean the whole family can enjoy eating out often while on holiday. Children are very welcome in the village bars, however late the hour, and a baby will always be the star of the show!
