Broadband and telephone providers in Andalucia Those who plan to make a living in Andalucia using the internet (and there are many who do!) should note that broadband is now widely available in Andalucian towns and villages. Each service provider has a section on their website where you can enter your phone number to see if broadband is available to you. Even if the initial answer is no, be sure to telephone the company (or even ask the people you see in Telefónica vans in your area!) as the situation is constantly changing. We ourselves have largely positive experiences of Telefónica, (although of course there may be others who disagree!). They will (if you select this option) come to your home, install the router and configure your computer, a wonderful service for the technophobic! Other companies will simply send you the router and leave the rest up to you, not always easy if the instructions are only in Spanish! Telefónica are not always the cheapest but keep an eye on their website for the latest special offers. If you live in a very rural area then satellite broadband may be an option for you.
